Optimising exposure

I've mainly exposed myself by putting links of this blog on Facebook and my deviantart. Having exisiting contacts on deviantart (an art community) allows people already interested in visual arts to have a look at my blog, including those tracking me on the site. On facebook, it allows my friends and family's associates to see it. In fact, my dad has shown my work around to his friends who are graphic designers and they like what they see. In the future, I could perhaps gain exposure by having my work up in an exhibition or gallery.
